Invisible Architecture in 2035

What happens to privacy when the home is optimised for robots, not people? By 2035, physical doors are removed as friction against autonomous movement, and sensors demand total transparency, leaving humans nowhere to hide.
SHADOOR (Shadow + Door) proposes an immaterial boundary in their place: a door-less wardrobe closed by a volumetric, projected shadow. The project is a critical redefinition of private boundaries in a doorless era, showing that a darkness machines cannot read can still function as architecture. The same shadow reads differently to each party - to a patrolling robot, a blank wall to route around; to a person, a threshold into complete sensory enclosure.

Selected designer for We Will Design, BASE Milano for Milan Design Week 2026. I directed the project - research, film, visual identity and installation. A related paper is forthcoming.
